Our Customer Solutions team is off to a great start in 2016, following a fantastic 3-day Kick-Off event in Nashville! Over 250 of the team’s People Leaders came together from all of Asurion’s US locations, as well as the Philippines. They attended discussions, participated in team building activities, gave presentations, and of course, celebrated. This year’s Kick-Off theme revolved around driving customer and employee engagement: Engage Today. Reinvent Tomorrow.
After a Welcome Reception on Day 1, the highly anticipated first event, “Shark Tank” was officially underway. Prior to the Kick-Off, all leaders, Director and above, were given a task: Imagine you will be given a blank check and prepare your “next big idea” pitch to the Sharks. Teams formed and met for three months to come up with presentations, focusing on their specific priorities for 2016. They were creative and came to the Tank ready to pitch. The “Sharks” were the Customer Solutions Executives and the six teams gave it their all with videos, PowerPoints, and elaborate poster boards. Each “Shark” chose where to invest their “money” and winners were paired with the Executive, now designated to be that team’s sponsor in 2016, helping to fully flesh out their idea, provide support and coaching, and bring the team’s idea to life.
On Day 2, a group of five executives and leaders (Sue Nokes, SVP Customer Solutions; Todd Chretien, VP Care Operations; Maria Pinchevsky, VP Premier Support Solutions; Dave Barbuto, VP Customer Solutions; Mike Messier, Sr Director Finance) shared 2016 priorities related to their respective areas. Later in the day, Tim Stadthaus (SVP Marketing and Customer Experience) discussed customer engagement, Mike Dolezal (VP, Product Management and Development) engaged the group about Asurion’s product offerings, vision and future, and Gus Puryear (General Counsel and SVP, HR) provided insight surrounding work being done in Human Resources and how HR is positioning itself to support Customer Solutions.
That evening, the team was ready to relax and celebrate at Marathon Music Works with dinner and dancing, and a special, inspirational presentation by graffiti artist/painter, Erik Wahl.
To wrap up the Kick-Off on Day 3, teams played trivia, with a “Customer Solutions” themed round, and another round focused on Asurion. Finally, everyone had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A Leader Panel session to close out the event.
We have no doubt our Customer Solutions leaders left engaged and inspired and have brought back a new energy to their teams. We can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store!
