It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s — a Premier Support Superhero!
Las Vegas is home to Asurion’s newest arm of Premier Support Solutions (PSS), and since the grand opening on October 6, 2014 (that’s right, we’re a year old!), the center has hired over 500 of the city’s most talented tech-lovers.
So, what has attracted all of these heroes and…why do we keep calling them “heroes”?
PSS Las Vegas, nicknamed “Montecito”, stands apart from other local employers as one of the only high-tech call centers. In fact, it is not merely a call center, but an epicenter for superior technical support. With a focus on mobile and electronic devices, our PSS teams provide technical assistance from device set up to troubleshooting to offering education on the latest technology devices. No device is off limits – cell phones, gaming devices, laptops, tablets, and more.
Our Customer Support Technicians love technology, love helping people, and enjoy great job satisfaction. Imagine a window-filled work space that is a collaborative environment between peers and leaders. Osmar Blanco, Montecito’s Site Director, says he and his team are constantly brainstorming great initiatives, events, and activities. Some of these events have included a DJ and salsa dancing lessons, EDM (Electronic Dance Music) days, and a job fair tailored to gamers with video games and Xboxes. “The environment provides growth opportunities,” says Blanco, “for people who perform well and demonstrate a love of tech and customer service.”
What does it mean to be a hero on our Las Vegas team? Blanco explains our monthly award, “Superhero of the Month”, which is given to the employee who has “demonstrated expertise in their technical abilities, has the ability to be a friend to the customer by saving their day, and shown heavy demonstration of our core values to achieve results.” Nominations roll in from all team members and are presented to site leadership to select a winner. The winner earns a preferred parking space in the front of the building, awards points (used like cash), an off-site lunch with leadership, and their very own trophy, which comes with bragging rights.
Constantly thinking of the best ways to make life easier for our customers is at the forefront of Blanco’s mind. “The Las Vegas team is excited to be such an integral part of shaping our award-winning customer experience.”
