For Some, February Means Broken Hearts and Broken Phones

Tech Tips

This month, more phones will be damaged than lost or stolen combined. That’s right, according to Asurion claims data, 56% of claims filed this month will be for damaged phones, while 36% will be for lost or stolen devices.

As an avid phone user (dare we say “addict”) it’s important you be careful not to drop your device, avoid spills or dangerous areas where your device could be smashed or cracked. In addition to phone insurance, you there are a few other things you can do to protect your device from damage this month:

  • Use a phone case. This will help prevent damgage caused by frequent drops and bumps throughout the day.
  • Get a good screen protector, it’s an easy and inexpensive way to prevent scratches, cracks and external damage to the surface of your device.
  • Be conscious of where you keep your phone when it’s not in use. A contained, dry place away from heavy objects and liquids is the best option.
