iPad 10.2 (8th Gen) Repair
I brought in an Ipad with a (admittedly) severely cracked screen. Although the screen was cracked, it still worked perfectly fine. When I brought it in, the staff member let me know that since the p[ower button area of the screen was broken, it was possible that the power button would have to be replaced. The next day he called me and let me know the power button did, indeed, have to be replaced. He was kind enough to offer to overnight the part, as I needed the Ipad back quickly. The next day I didn't hear from anyone, so icalled in the afternoon and was told it wouldn't be ready that day. The following day I never heard from anyone so I called around 5pm, and was told they would rush to get it done if I could come by 6. When I got there, I was told the Ipad no longer worked. Something to do with the motherboard, that it was very "jumpy" . They were going to show me the problem, but couldn't because the Ipad was had no charge. I mentioned that I brought in a working Ipad with just a cracked screen and was receiving an Ipad that no longer worked. The employee said there was a note that when I dropped it off there was already an issue with the touch screen jumping around, I said that was incorrect. He checked the notes, and confirmed that in fact that was not noted at drop off (maybe he was thinking of another customer?). He returned the Ipad and I wasn't charged. The staff was very courteous through the whole process, and I didn't lose any money, i'm just disappointed because i'd rather have had a working Ipad with a cracked screen than one that doesnt work at all.
