Ever spot something online and want to know more about it? Circle to Search lets you search almost anything that's on your screen without switching apps.

Simply press and hold the Home button or navigation bar, then circle, highlight, or tap the object or text you'd like to search. Google will display relevant search results instantly.

Circle to Search can also recognize products, landmarks, text, and even help solve homework problems or translate text in supported languages.

Live Translate and Interpreter

Traveling abroad or talking with someone who speaks another language? Galaxy AI includes several translation tools designed to make conversations easier.

Live Translate provides real-time translations during supported phone calls.

Interpreter lets two people have a face-to-face conversation while each person sees translated text in their own language.

Translation features continue to expand with additional supported languages through software updates.

Smarter photo and video editing

Galaxy AI includes several editing tools that make it easier to improve photos without needing a separate editing app.

Some of the most useful features include:

  • Generative Edit, which lets you move, resize, or remove objects while AI fills in the background naturally.
  • Edit Suggestions, which recommends quick improvements like straightening, removing reflections, or enhancing colors.
  • Instant Slow-mo, which uses AI to generate additional frames so you can create slow-motion clips from compatible videos.
  • Portrait Studio, which transforms portrait photos into artistic styles such as sketches or illustrations on supported devices.

Powerful camera features

The Galaxy S24 cameras combine advanced hardware with AI processing to help improve your photos.

Features include:

  • Enhanced Nightography for brighter low-light photos and videos.
  • AI-powered zoom enhancements that help preserve detail at higher zoom levels.

Transcript Assist

Record meetings or voice memos, then automatically generate a transcript. Galaxy AI can also summarize the conversation and translate supported languages.

Note Assist

Samsung Notes can automatically summarize long notes, organize them into sections, generate titles, and format content for easier reading.

Browsing Assist

Samsung Internet can summarize lengthy webpages into easy-to-read bullet points or translate pages into your preferred language without leaving the browser.

Chat Assist

Chat Assist works across supported Samsung apps to make writing faster and easier.

Depending on the app, it can:

  • Translate messages in supported languages.
  • Suggest different writing tones.
  • Rewrite text to sound more professional or conversational.
  • Check spelling and grammar before you send a message.
  • Help compose messages from a short prompt.

Audio Eraser

On supported devices and software versions, Audio Eraser can identify and reduce unwanted sounds—such as wind, traffic, or background conversations—from compatible videos, helping your subject stand out more clearly.

Your privacy controls

Many Galaxy AI features use cloud processing, while others run directly on your device. Depending on the feature, you may be able to limit processing to on-device AI.

To review your AI privacy settings:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Galaxy AI (or Advanced features > Galaxy AI on some devices).
  3. Review the available privacy and processing options.

Keep in mind that some Galaxy AI features require cloud processing to work and may not be available if you choose on-device processing only.

As Samsung continues to add new Galaxy AI capabilities through One UI updates, your device may receive additional features over time without requiring new hardware.
