How to show all apps installed on your phone

How to see all apps on an iPhone

If you can’t find an app on your iPhone home screen, there are a few ways to see what’s installed.

Check your App Library

All of your apps appear in the App Library—even ones you’ve hidden from your home screen.

  1. Swipe left past your last home screen page until you reach the App Library.
  2. Scroll through the list of categories or use the search bar at the top.
  3. Tap any app to open it directly.

View apps in Settings

You can also see all apps in your Settings menu.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Scroll down past the default options like General, Control Center, and Display & Brightness.
  3. You’ll see a list of all installed apps near the bottom.

Check your App Store history

If you’ve deleted apps in the past and want to see which ones you’ve downloaded before:

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Purchased.
  4. Tap Not on this iPhone to see previously downloaded apps.

How to see all apps on an Android phone

Depending on your Android brand (like Samsung®, Google Pixel™, or OnePlus®), the steps may vary slightly—but here’s the general method.

Check your app drawer

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of your home screen to open the App Drawer.
  2. Scroll through all installed apps.
  3. You can also search using the search bar at the top.

View apps in Settings

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Apps.
  3. Choose See all apps or App info.
  4. You’ll see every app currently installed, including system apps.

Find hidden apps

If you can’t find certain apps, they might be hidden, disabled, or restricted.

  • Samsung: Pinch the home screen with two fingers, tap Settings > Hide apps, and check the list.
  • Pixel or Android One: Go to Settings > Apps > See all apps, then scroll through the full list to find disabled ones.
  • Xiaomi or OnePlus: Open Settings > Privacy > Hidden apps to view or restore hidden apps.

See downloaded apps in Google Play

To view all apps ever downloaded with your Google account:

  1. Open the Play Store.
  2. Tap your profile icon > Manage apps and device.
  3. Tap Manage to see installed and uninstalled apps.

How to remove or organize apps

Once you’ve located all your apps, you may want to tidy things up.

  • Delete unused apps:
    • iPhone: Tap and hold the app, then tap Remove App > Delete App.
    • Android: Tap and hold the app, then drag it to Uninstall.
  • Group similar apps:
    • Drag apps together on iPhone to create a folder automatically.
    • On Android, drag apps into folders manually or use launcher features.
  • Free up space:
    • Clear cached data for unused apps in Settings > Storage.
    • On iPhone, enable Offload Unused Apps under Settings > App Store.
