An Asurion Tech Care plan (also referred to as an extended service plan [ESP] or extended service contract [ESC]) provides coverage for phones, home tech, and major appliances above and beyond the terms and life of a manufacturer’s warranty. When a covered device breaks or stops working, we'll repair, replace, or reimburse you for your device. Upgrade options to replace your device may also be available to you for an additional fee.
You can purchase an Asurion Tech Care plan at
your local uBreakiFix by Asurion store.
Phones tend to break most often, so in order to provide the most value for each plan we start with a set number of phones to cover. However, you can always purchase add-on coverage for additional phones.
Yes, you'll need to
register your devices. Coverage for each device starts 30 days after you add it. Registering devices helps us speed up the claims process for you. Additionally, it helps us to know more specifics about which device is broken so we can provide the best repair or replacement options for you.
Yep, that’s the best part! We know tech comes and goes, that’s why we made it so you can always
adjust your coverage whenever you need to. Coverage starts 30 days after adding or swapping in a new device. (Unless it's a replacement or upgrade we've provided—those will automatically be covered by your plan.)
When your device breaks or stops working, we’ve got you covered—it’s as simple as 1-2-3.
  1. Start your claim
    online     or by phone. Just tell us what’s wrong—it only takes minutes.
  2. Choose your fix. Depending on eligibility, we’ll repair, replace, reimburse, or even upgrade your device. Service fees vary (for example, phones start at $29, appliances at $99, and many home tech devices start at $0).
  3. Stay informed. Get live updates at every step until you’re back up and running.

If you go 12 months without
filing a claim, we will automatically send you a credit equal to one month of your plan cost—essentially giving you money back just for staying claim-free. This way, you’re always covered if something goes wrong, and if it doesn’t, you’re rewarded with savings. It’s a win-win.
