How to set up Echo Dot

If you’re wondering how to set up Echo Dot, follow these steps:

Step 1: Plug in your Echo Dot

Plug your Echo Dot into a power outlet using the included adapter.

Wait for the light ring to turn orange. That means your Echo Dot is in setup mode.

If it doesn’t turn orange:

• Press and hold the Action button for about 15 seconds.
• Wait until the light turns orange.

Step 2: Open the Alexa app

1. Download and open the Alexa app on your phone.
2. Sign in with your Amazon account.
3. Tap Devices.
4. Tap the + icon.
5. Select Add Device.
6. Choose Amazon Echo, then select Echo Dot.

The app will search for your device.

Step 3: Connect Echo Dot to Wi-Fi

When prompted:

1. Select your home Wi-Fi network.
