Asurion Chairman Named Treasurer of CTIA Board of Directors

NASHVILLE, TENN. SEP 14, 2014

Bret Comolli, Chairman of Asurion, the recognized global leader in technology protection services, has been re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA) and will serve as Treasurer for the 2015 term. Comolli has served on the board since 2006.

”The 2015 board of directors will be vital to helping keep the light regulatory touch that has facilitated the world’s leading mobile ecosystem. I feel very lucky that such a distinguished group will help lead us as we embrace a connected life and continued innovation and experimentation. By working together, these individuals will be important advocates with the expertise needed to guide the industry toward identifying and working with the federal government, policymakers and other interested stakeholders to find more spectrum so Americans can continue to enjoy the best mobile products and services,” said Meredith Attwell Baker, CTIA President and CEO, in a statement released by CTIA.

CTIA, The Wireless Association is based in Washington, D.C. and serves as an international, nonprofit organization representing all sectors of wireless communications, service providers, manufacturers, wireless data and Internet companies and other contributors to the wireless universe.
