WIND Mobile Phone Protection Plan safeguards phones against loss, theft, damage, mechanical and electrical malfunction

Asurion, the global leader in technology protection services, today announced the company has partnered with Canada’s fourth largest mobile operator, WIND Mobile, to deliver the WIND Phone Protection Plan. The new service will be available to WIND customers starting October 7 and will protect devices from loss, theft, physical and liquid damage and out-of-warranty malfunction.

WIND Phone Protection Plan is available within 15 days of a new activation or upgrade. The service covers all wireless devices and standard accessories, including batteries, chargers, SIM cards and memory cards. The program reconnects WIND customers quickly with the same or comparable device model. Other features of the new protection service include:
- Next Business day delivery, in most cases, for service requests approved by 5PM ET
- Enrolled customers will pay $7- $10 per month, plus a service replacement fee in the event they need to file a service replacement request
- The ability to cancel WIND Phone Protection Plan coverage at any time with no cancellation fee
