Spotlight on Asurion’s Las Vegas team

Life at Asurion Las Vegas

At Asurion, our main goal is to help customers with their technology – and helpfulness is something that our team in Las Vegas exemplifies daily. Home to more than 1,000 of our 17,000 worldwide employees, our technology call center near Las Vegas is one of the few of its kind in the area.

What’s unique about our Vegas office

Asurion Las Vegas Office

Location, location, location. Located northwest of downtown Las Vegas, our office – which we refer to as our Montecito office – is 20 minutes away from what you first think of when you hear Las Vegas: the Strip. Its prime location is close to the typical tourist destinations and is also just minutes away from hiking at Red Rock Canyon or skiing.

In a city focused on customer experience, Asurion takes it to the next level. We take the customer service aspect of the casino and hospitality industry and add in technology for an overall unique job experience. It’s a fun, high energy, high-change environment with a focus on keeping our customers connected. The office is a modern facility with plenty of natural light and a 360-degree view of the surrounding scenery.

100% “proud, techy nerds”

Asurion escape game training experience

We believe learning should be fun, and what better, more engaging way to welcome our new hires than gamification? All new tech experts go through our version of an escape game that is centered around teaching about products customers could be calling to get help with. The game is the best of both worlds, as it puts the customers first by learning how to help them, all while keeping it fun and current by appealing to the gaming culture.

We love technology, and enjoy working with our customers to help them get the most out of their tech. Basically, as our Regional Director Osmar Blanco puts it, “We are a team of proud, techy nerds.”

Ingredient for success: Strong, engaging culture

Our Vegas office is a wonderful example of what we call our “One Team” mentality. Creating a rewarding and collaborative work environment is part of our focus to ensure employees feel valued, and we do this through a social recognition program called ACE. Our ACE news feed celebrates achievements and allows employees to recognize their peers for their hard work. For our Vegas team, of course, there’s a little bit of casino-flair mixed in. Employees collect Asurion poker chips when they’re recognized, which can be traded in for cool merchandise. There’s an entire space dedicated to Asurion gear, from t-shirts to lawn chairs, and employees love to share their Asurion pride on their sleeve (literally).

Asurion Las Vegas Sports Day

Las Vegas is known for its fun and unique vibe, and that’s something we strive to carry over to our day-to-day office environment. Helping customers recover photos or learn how to use their connected device can be a lot of work, so we make sure to throw a lot of fun into the mix for our tech experts. Our calendar is full of engaging events to look forward to, everything from Hat Day, to Tie and Tiara Day, and – going back to that whole thing we said earlier about “proud, techy nerds” – we have many days dedicated to superheroes and sci-fi appreciation too.

We’re all about having fun and promoting a positive work culture that feels a lot like home, and we also offer employees a competitive salary and great benefits.

Active within their community

From supporting a blood drive to filling backpacks with school supplies, we are always looking for more ways to give back. We also love to get involved in our community doing things like competing in the

Asurion Las Vegas Corporate Challenge

Las Vegas Corporate Challenge, the largest amateur sporting event in Nevada. During the event, more than 125 companies from around Vegas get together to compete in more than 40 events ranging from sports to trivia. In 2018, team Asurion won first place in Executive Relay; finished fourth in the trivia battle of the brains; and placed 3rd in Corporate Ninja.

Montecito shines bright

So, while you (if you’re an astronaut) can see the Las Vegas Strip from outer space, here on Earth, our Montecito office is a tremendous bright spot representing Asurion. Thankfully for us, what happens in Vegas, doesn’t stay in Vegas. The impact of our employees is felt throughout the company on a regular basis.
