Asurion offers free virtual school tech help to Nashville parents and teachers

Virtual Learning Tech Help Asurion

Let's face it: nothing throws a wrench into a child's remote learning or a teacher's virtual lesson plan quite like trouble logging into distance learning tools, buffering videos, router problems or any other technical issue.

In August, Nashville Metro Public Schools announced online learning will continue until fall break — opening the door for more tech frustrations. To help the virtual homeschool experience run with as little tech disruptions as possible, Asurion is offering up their tech experts free of charge.

“A quick look across social media and parents' groups, and you see how parents and teachers are struggling. The tech challenges really hit home, with one parent even offering to pay someone to log their kids in each morning," said Sarah Day, VP of Marketing at Asurion. “And this is what Asurion does every day through our Home+ service. We have thousands of experts helping people."

How to connect with an Asurion Expert

Whether you're a high school teacher dealing with a laptop that's constantly freezing, an elementary-aged child who's trying to navigate a new Chromebook or a parent who is just trying to set their kid up for success — Asurion Experts want to make tech work for you.

Nashville area students, teachers and their parents can visit Asurion.com/SchoolTechHelp or call 1-866-463-3773 between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to quickly connect with an Asurion Expert for fast help with any home tech issues at no charge. Asurion's free Tech Sanity Hotline and select discount repairs at local uBreakiFix by Asurion stores will run through October 5, 2020.

What can Asurion Experts help with?

Asurion Experts can help you get logged into Zoom, troubleshoot any laptop or tablet issues you might have and so much more.

Virtual homeschool doesn't stop for broken tech. If you realize your device isn't working like it's supposed to, Asurion can help with that too. Students, teachers and parents with a broken or malfunctioning tablet, laptop or computer can stop by one of the nine participating Nashville-area uBreakiFix by Asurion stores for a free diagnostic review. If service is needed, they will receive a one-time discount of 20% off a laptop, computer or tablet repair. See participating locations here.

Navigating life during a pandemic is difficult enough. Asurion wants to take the role of “tech expert" off your plate and let you get back to teaching, parenting and learning.

"We understand that many parents and teachers aren't tech experts," said Day. "And our team can make sure tech is working for our hometown students and teachers."
